Sacramento Cannabis Job Fair this Saturday

Big City Activity

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – If the last event was any indication, the Sacramento Cannabis Job Fair coming up this weekend is the place to be to find a job in California’s growing legal weed industry.

The March job fair was so popular, organizers say, that the line of interested applicants extended out the building and around a city block. They expect this Saturday’s event to once again draw thousands of attendees.

Interested applicants will get to meet with Sacramento’s leading cannabis-driven employers.

Organizers say to treat this event like a job interview: come dressed to impress with plenty of resumes and references in hand.

The Sacramento Cannabis Job Fair is this Saturday, July 14 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center on H Street from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Golden Moguls of Wine

Celebrate 50 Fine Wine Years with Bogle Vineyards

The Bogle family have been wine industry pioneers since they took a chance and were the first to plant grapevines in the Sacramento River Delta town of Clarksburg in 1968. After producing grapes for the top names in the industry, the family started bottling their wine under the Bogle label in 1978. Today, Bogle Vineyards sells its wine in all 50 states and nearly 40 countries.

Warren, Jody, & Ryan Bogle

In addition to celebrating their 50th Anniversary as a Vintner in the Golden State, Bogle Vineyards is honored to be a recipient of the 2018 California State Fair Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes a person, family, or institution who are pioneers in the wine industry based on their lifetime contributions to the California wine industry.

“We feel privileged to be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award this year, especially as it is our 50th year in the wine business,” says Jody Bogle. “It’s pretty amazing to think it all started with just 20 acres of winegrapes in 1968.”

Bogle Vineyards has also been chosen as a California Green Medal: Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership Award winner. The Leader Award honors the vineyard that best demonstrates the “3 E’s” of sustainability by excelling in Environmentally sound, socially Equitable and Economically viable practices. The announcement was made March 29 by a coalition of wine associations across California.

“We believe it is our responsibility to ensure our estate vineyards and our partner growers are

implementing the latest sustainability techniques,” says Warren Bogle. “It is vital that we care for the land and resources to ensure future generations can continue to farm as we have.”

50th Anniversary Wine Glasses

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Bogle Vineyards, the winery is providing guests complimentary commemorative wine glasses when they purchase an eight-pour tasting flight at the tasting room in Clarksburg. The stemless glasses feature the 50th Anniversary logo that honors Warren V Bogle and his pioneering planting of the winery’s first grapevines in 1968. His signature, taken from a purchase agreement for some of the family’s first acreage, is represented on the logo, as seen above.
